Sri Madhva was born to Sri Narayana Nadillaya Bhatta and Vedavathi. His father is also referred to as ‘Madhya Geha’ Bhatta. Madhya Geha means ‘One from the middle house’ which is a Sanskritized version of Nadillaya (a Tulu word).
